Kaikki tai ei mitään
Kaikki tai ei mitään (All or Nothing) is a daily lottery game in which you select 12 numbers out of 24. The unique twist is that you can win the jackpot either by matching all 12 numbers drawn or by matching none (0 correct). Along with several other prize tiers for intermediate results (e.g., 9 or 10 correct), this provides a range of potential winnings.
How to Play
There is one draw every day, typically at 21:00. You can choose your own 12 numbers or use a quick-pick option. If you match all 12 or 0 of the drawn numbers, you claim the top prize. Other matches (1 correct, 2 correct, … up to 11 correct) also have fixed multipliers, which depend on the game's payout table.
Onnenapila (the “lucky clover” option) is an extra feature: for an additional cost (equal to your base stake), you get a 1-in-4 chance per line to quadruple your prize in most winning categories. In lower-tier outcomes, hitting the Onnenapila number might award your stake back.
Prize Tiers and Caps
Each winning category has a fixed payout multiplier relative to your stake (or quadrupled with Onnenapila). The highest tier—12 or 0 correct—can pay as much as 125,000× your stake (or 500,000× with Onnenapila). However, there is a prize cap of 3 million euros per draw. If total payouts exceed this cap, winnings are proportionally reduced.
The odds of hitting the top result (12 or 0 correct) is 2 in 2,704,156 per line. If you enable Onnenapila, you have a 25% chance per line to activate the bonus, but you pay double per line for that possibility.
Below, you'll find a calculator that shows you various statistical figures (expected gain, variance, jackpot probability, etc.) for different numbers of lines (1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 100) and whether you purchase Onnenapila.

Strategies & Observations
Kaikki tai ei mitään, especially with Onnenapila, has the highest expected return of all Finnish lottery game, discounting the case of lottery games when the accrued jackpot becomes very large (because the high expected value is due to the jackpot, which is so unlikely to be won) .
- Onnenapila vs. Two Regular Lines: For the same cost (2€ total), you can buy one line with Onnenapila or two standard lines. Onnenapila slightly increases your overall return per euro, partly by quadrupling many mid-tier prizes 25% of the time. However, two regular lines double your chance of landing any winning outcome on each draw (small, medium, or large). When we do the actual maths, we find that there is no significant difference between the two options.
- Variance & Volatility: Onnenapila raises variance: you pay double, with a 1-in-4 shot at increased prizes. That can yield swingy results, especially for higher-tier wins. Two regular lines spread out the risk more, though the long-term return per euro is slightly lower.
- The bottom line is that if you are risk averse, you should play regular kaikki tai ei mitään, and if not, you can play Onnenapila, which will also give you a slightly larger likelihood of earning some prize, but lower the chances of breaking even.
- Kaikki tai ei mitään is, overall, the best of all Finnish lottery games, according to our data-driven approach.
